It's been an exciting couple of weeks at the boys and girls varsity basketball games at Attleboro High School, as several AYBA Metrowest teams have had the exciting opportunity to play at halftime in the beautiful new gym!
The Metro boys and girls 4th and 5th grade teams have had quite fun basketball the experience recently. They joined the AHS varsity teams for introductions, the national anthem, and then sat behind the AHS bench to cheer on the varsity squads. At halftime, the teams went onto the floor and put on a show for the fans, battling hard and perhaps previewing what may be to come some day as future varsity athletes!
It was a lot of fun by everyone, Metro and AHS players alike, as one varsity player commented, "It was awesome having all the kids there, sitting behind us, cheering us on...I can remember when that was me sitting there doing the same thing, dreaming about being on that floor one day, and now I'm on the team and out there playing on the court." Very well said!
Thank you to AHS boys varsity coach Mark Houle and AHS girls varsity coach Bri Bracken for hosting our teams and helping create this great experience!
