Attleboro Basketball Teams Complete Impressive Summer League Season

13 different teams finish records above .500

Attleboro youth basketball summer league teams capped off another impressive summer last weekend, with 13 different boys and girls teams finishing their respective division with records at or above .500.

In addition, four teams made it to the final four in their divisional tournament, with 3 reaching the finals and two teams, the boys 5th grade D1 and girls 9th grade D2, winning the title.

On the boys side, 9 different teams won at least half their games.  Starting with the boys 5th grade D1 (9-1, Champs), 6th D2 (5-4), 7th grade D1 (7-2, Semifinals), 7th grade D2 (8-4, Runner Up) 8th Grade D1 (8-3 playing up a grade level in the 9th grade D2 division), 9th grade D1 (5-5), JV (5-4) and High School Varsity (11-3).    The 9 teams were a combined 58-26 over the summer.

For the girls, 4 teams finished above .500 starting with the 5th grade D1 (5-4), 6th grade D1 (6-3), 9th Grade D2 (5-5, Division Champs) and High School Varsity (6-4).

Attleboro teams have now officially completed the cycle for its 2016-2017 season as tryouts for the 2017-2018 season are right around the corner on Sept. 23rd and 24th.   Congrats to all Attleboro teams for putting together such a successful summer of basketball.
